Given the medically complex population of children that we serve, some children may occasionally need to return to a higher level of patient care. Many of these children return to The HSC Pediatric Center following this temporary discharge to an acute care setting.

HealthStream® is an objective external vendor that we hire to serve as our partner in assessing patient and family satisfaction with care provided while an inpatient at The HSC Pediatric Center (HSCPC). This important feedback is used by the HSCPC staff to help create a safe, healthy and happy environment for our children and their families as well as to improve our clinical and business outcomes.

This is a measure of the percentage of our inpatient families who stated that they were “Completely Satisfied, Very Satisfied or Satisfied” with the care their child received while an inpatient at HSCPC

This is a measure of patient and family satisfaction with several key indicators over the past five calendar years. (CY 2006 – CY 2010)
Positive results will range from a score of 3.50 (Satisfied) to 5.00 (Completely Satisfied)
